Anyone else conflicted on this one? It looks SO uplifting and SO exciting, and my little adventurer is sure to recognize a kindred spirit, but will those wild things come back when they are alone in their room, in the dark, at night? If you've seen it with your kids, will you tell me what they think?
i'm downloading the soundtrack from itunes right now!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it but a friend told me it is GORGEROUS but very sad. Her second grader cried her eyes out (the mom did as well). Our household has decided its a parent-only movie.
ReplyDeleteWe went on saturday and loved it...but the 10 little guys in the row in front of us were so squirmy and it didn't hold their attention. The movie seems to be for grown-ups who loved the book as a kid, not so much for little kids. It's pretty intense and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under 7 or so!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin saw it with her three kids (2, 7, and 8) and said it was DEFINITELY for grownups. She said luckily the little one fell asleep, the middle one cried a LOT and the third said it was SO sad that he bit his cheek the whole time to NOT cry.
ReplyDeleteAmazing marketing! The trailer looks SO uplifting and positive!!
